Hybrid Model

Most healthcare IT solutions are architected and deployed as either a point-to-point solution or a centralized hub approach.  Certify’s architecture is a federated model with much of the functionality built into the HealthDock® edge servers distributed throughout the community.  Placing the power and functionality at the edge, close to patients and the physicians who serve them, allows the greatest flexibility in deployment.  It also addresses a very real concern among physicians that centralized systems take their data and offer little control to them.  In the HealthDock® federated model, that control remains with the physician.

Certify’s Gateway product acts as a centralized router, monitoring agent and façade to other systems.  This allows other systems to communicate with one system but transparently harness all of the data within a community of HealthDock® edge servers.  Because of this architecture, we can easily consolidate all of the HealthDock® edge servers into a hosted Community HealthDock® (a single HealthDock® containing multiple logic HealthDocks) if the centralized model is desired.  Systems designed as centralized systems cannot easily be separated and deployed at the edge.  For those suppliers, they must instead deploy multiple versions of the expensive centralized systems masquerading as edge servers at additional overhead and expense to the customer.
